Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Our in-house legal department, comprised of three attorneys, seeks an experienced paralegal or legal assistant to replace a departing team member. The legal department provides full-spectrum legal support to a large enterprise consisting of several distinct businesses in diverse fields including health care services, real estate brokerages, entertainment venues, and more.

Recurring subject matters include franchise relations, M&A, litigation, administration and maintenance of legal entity and intellectual property filings and registrations, and commercial contracts.

The ideal candidate would have eight or more years of similar subject matter experience in a comparable in-house role and/or at a law firm, and should feel comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively with and among 15-year+ lawyers, outside counsel, and businesspersons at all levels of the organization.

Command of commonplace office software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite, DocuSign, and Adobe Acrobat, with an ability to become comfortable with similar proprietary and third-party software/cloud solutions) is essential. This position is full-time, predominantly in-person at our Phoenix corporate headquarters at 4343 E. Outlier Blvd. (near 44th Street and the 202).


  • Compiling transactional documentation; coordinating signings/closings of corporate and commercial matters
  • Calendaring and docketing (e.g., filing/notice deadlines, etc.)
  • Maintaining corporate books and records
  • Preparing or assisting with the preparation of legal filings (corporate, litigation, regulatory, entity maintenance)
  • Assisting with the organization and maintenance of key documents, contracts, etc. (paper and/or electronic)
  • Assisting with review and/or production of discovery and due diligence
  • Performing factual and light legal research
  • Litigation status monitoring
  • Receiving and routing or processing incidental subpoenas; assisting counsel with responses if material
  • Under the supervision of counsel, drafting routine/recurring letters, memos, basic pleadings and corporate reports
  • Mail handling; supplies ordering
